Senior Project Manager
Department: Professional Services
Location: West London and on customer sites as required
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Professional Services practice. The Project Manager will have responsibility for consulting teams and projects, providing a vision on how technology can deliver maximum business value and hence maximise customer benefit.
Accountabilities will include; management of bespoke application development projects, managing and strengthening relationships with clients, motivate and day to day management of team members, provide regular communication and visibility to senior management on all areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- To project manage multiple or single customer projects including budget and resourcing, working with customers to ensure projects are resourced to meet delivery time scales
- Support the project throughout its life cycle from the creation of business cases to formal project closure. Producing regular reports for all project stakeholders and internal IVIS team members
- Provide day to day leadership to the project team, working collaboratively with all project stakeholders, ensuring decisions are made between technical and business teams
- Provide input and validation on proposals and contracts and assist with top level account management for ongoing contracts. Support the sales / pre-sales process though proactively seeking and creating opportunities with new and existing clients
- Contribute to the definition of Quality processes to be applied to all areas in Professional Services. Seek continuous improvement, implementing best practice
- Experience of managing complex high value bespoke development projects (i.e. budget size £100K+ and 3 months+ duration)
- Directly involved in leading the delivery of complex bespoke technical systems in customer facing environment
- Good Project Management and team leading experience, PRINCE qualification or equivalent
- Experience in e-Business/ e-Commerce B2B/B2C specifically and software engineering in general
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid experience in analysis and design processes and methodologies including UML, RUP and XP
- Additionally Retail sector background and implementing/improving quality processes would be useful but not essential
- To be successful in this role, the Project Manager will need to be pragmatic, commercially aware and able to demonstrate strong influencing skills
- Confident, with the ability to interact with clients at all levels Organised and able to demonstrate decision making capability Must be a self-starter
- Ability to mentor and guide colleagues
