Shipment Scheduling Integration

IVIS Group consultants worked through a major retailer to allow its shipment scheduling system to be made accessible through web technologies. Our customer had been using this system to schedule shipments for some time and because of the growing range of fulfillers needed to support their e-commerce business they needed the system to be visible to a number of their partners. It was highly desirable that the solution should fit with the current e-business architecture where XML and Web Services had been used extensively. Our team advised on the most appropriate architecture, business logic enhancements and the technologies required. This work was delivered as a series of tailored workshops as part of a knowledge transfer process - allowing our customer to retain control of development whilst minimising the time taken to understand new techniques and technologies.
