Accessibility Solutions

IVIS Group worked with an on-line retailer to develop an accessibility solution for their on-line store. This project covered the differing interface required for novice and experienced users. IVIS Group consultants developed an architecture enabling a different presentation layer to be used based on customer preference and behaviour. This solution had the additional benefit of making it far easier to support a wide array of access devices opening up a number of possibilities.

Having completed this work we have recognised the potential to utilise this approach to provide access to on-line and in-store systems for people with special needs e.g. partially sighted or other disability. A dedicated IVIS Group team is now actively working in this area and participating in various standards initiatives including W3C activities.
