A customer of IVIS Group was developing an e-commerce business that required them to deal with several shipment companies depending on the type of product ordered. To achieve this they wanted a mechanism to pass shipment requests to the fulfillers and receive status updates in an open and flexible way.

IVIS Group consultants developed such a mechanism giving our customer the ability to integrate the business process of the fulfillers into their business model whilst giving them flexibility to change fulfiller rapidly if so desired. The status information returned from the fulfiller was integrated to the site enabling customers to track orders and make changes up to the point of shipment. This highly integrated approach has contributed to the success of the business by giving great flexibility while offering excellent customer service.
