How the site is organised
The site is split into seven main sections:
Each of these sections has a homepage, navigation links and sub-sections. For example the Company section contains the following sub-sections:
- Company Timeline
- IVIS Group Approach
- News & Awards
- News Releases
- Awards
- Events
- Partners
- Careers
- Vacancies
- Current Vacancies
- Benefits
- Culture
- HR Policy
Every page includes 'site navigation'. This includes a link back to the home page and links to the main sections.
The structure of a page
- Underneath the site navigation, each page is split into 3 sections.
- The left-hand column contains section-specific navigation. These are links to content pages within that section.
- The column in the centre contains the content of the page. This is where you'll find the text of the page you've browsed to.
- The right-hand column contains associated information and link around the topic of the content on any given page.
Finding the navigation
There is a menu list at the top of the page which enables you to jump to significant parts of the page, listed below:
- Go straight to content
- Local section menu
Reading the content
The page content is immediately after the primary navigation and secondary links. Once you have reached the page you want, you can just let your screenreader read from the top.
Heading structure
We've structured the site in a way that'll allow you to take advantage of your screenreader's heading list mode facilities and the content on the page is also split into sections to allow it to be navigated around.
Images
Applicable images convey meaningful information as ‘alt’ text which describes the content of the picture.
