IVIS Group invited to speak at The Asia Fashion Summit 2014

520_a724.jpgThe Asia Fashion Summit (AFS), organised by the Textile & Fashion Federation (TaFf), is the region’s premier fashion and retail business conference where global fashion's thinkers, key players and entrepreneurs gather to discuss key issues that influence how fashion is produced, consumed and understood.

In Singapore, the fashion industry has evolved substantially in keeping with the sophisticated markets it serves. Since the ‘60s, it has transformed from being manufacturing-centred to one that emphasizes higher value-add activities, including textile and apparel retail and wholesale, and fashion design. Local fashion brands like Charles and Keith play an increasingly important role in Singapore’s economy as it transforms into a global lifestyle hub. Complementing the fashion landscape are international brands that enrich the Singapore experience, adding vibrancy to the local fashion scene.

The AFS is being held at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre from 15-17 May 2014.

With the theme Asia’s Business Perspective, AFS will enable industry practitioners to understand the intricacies of business opportunities in the dynamic Asian fashion market. This year’s exciting line-up includes fashion experts such as Mr Prabal Gurung, Singapore born world-renowned Fashion Designer, Mr Rick Yoo, Managing Director, Lotte Shopping Global Fashion Division and Mr Harry Markl, Regional Managing Director, Zalora.

During this event Mr Sarraf will deliver a workshop entitled “Customer Centric Fashion Retailing”. He will describe how multi-channel marketing, fuelled by customer centricity, is creating new business models whilst challenging existing ones. He will highlight how the key stakeholders in the fashion industry – brands, distributors and retailers - need to be transformed to survive in this rapidly changing world and the additional pressure points embracing a multi-channel model will create between them.
